Anne Frank and Me (Soon to Be) Presented by WMS Drama

Is it weird that I have been beginning each new post with a FF (Fun Fact) about me? Well, whatever the answer, heres another FF for ya, I am in Drama class and I'm loving it! I mean, whats NOT to love, right? You get to pretend with your friends and no one makes fun of you, You get to dress up, You also get to do all kinds of coolieo behind the scenes fun stuff! :D Well, our class has been working on a play called, "Anne Frank and Me". The basis of the play is that a modern-day girl, Nicole Burns (portrayed by Emma Wilson), gets hit by a car and goes back in time to meet Anne Frank (portrayed by Tara Pedro) and live in 1942. So far, its going pretty well! We have all the parts cast, scenes (mostly) down pat, and costuming pretty muchly wrapped up! Now, I've never been in an "offical" Wagoner Middle School Drama play, but I think I'll love it! At least I hope so! :D If your 'round town, or even if your not, you should come by the Wagoner PAC about 6:00 on April 29th and watch us preform! I'll be playin the character of Suzanne, so watch for me! ;) (P.S. If you get there early, you might get to see me dance...IN PUBLIC!) Can't wait to see you there! :D Below are some pictures of two of our main actors, Emma and Rhett. The other videos wouldn't load! :( Enjoy!

Talent Show '11

Now you may think, "What in the world?! Hailee was in a talent show?!" I know, I know its kinda of a new thing for me but I'm enjoying it! :D Now that we got that cleared up lets get down to the bone. Last month WMS had a talent show and I decided to show off my rockin' piano skills (THATS a joke!). So I decided to write an accompaniment for Needtobreathe's "Through Smoke". It took me about 4 weeks of non-stop playing to perfect the piece. Anyway, I went to auditions and set up my keyboard. Then the music started and my hands started shaking like nobody's business. But I made it through it and apparently Mrs. Vernon (Math teacher/ Judge) cried a little. It kinda scared me to tell ya the truth! Anyway, I got in the show and finally it was time to preform. We had a about an hour to kill before showtime so I decided to get comfortable with the stage. I sat down at the Grand and played a little improv. for a while. Then I walked around and sang to myself. Then I started gettin ancy. People started showing up. I went backstage and paced. I kept telling myself, "You kiddin' me? These people aren't gonna listen to you anyway! They like rap and hip-hop! This song is about as far away from rap as you can get." Then they called my name. The lights were hot. And the strange thing was that when I sat down and my hands touched the keys, every single person in that PAC faded away and it was just me and my music. So, Glory Hallejuah, I kept playing and wailing and believe it or not, A WHOLE ROW OF PEOPLE STOOD UP AND CLAPPED ON BEAT!Anyway, afterwards I was still pumped. So, I guess now I know, for sure, what I'm soupposed to do with my life, at least I hope so. I really loved it and enjoyed it so...Thats what I'll do until I can't no more! :D The video down there is my preformance! Enjoy!

Regional Science Fair '11

Well, believe it or not, I am in the advanced science class at my school. (I know, shocker, right?!) Anyway, we had to put together a science fair project for 1/3 of our grade this semester. I decided to do mine over the affect of a Stroop Test on reading capabilities. I'm not gonna go into detail because it'll probably bore the crap outta you so I'll just skip over that part! Anyway, about 2 weeks ago we loaded up on a bus and went to the "big city" (Muskogee) for Regionals. On the bus there wasn't much to do so my friend Taylor and I jammed to our iPod's and watched other people make themselves look like idiots! (Which was pretty entertaining to say the least!) When we got there we were all wearing our fancy pants clothes because we were going to be judged that day. I went over to my little station and set up my board then sat down and tried to become familiar with the locals. (A.K.A. One girl and One boy on either side of me) I turned to the boy first and said "Hi, I'm Hailee!" then held out my hand. He just stared at it and turned on his Nintendo DS. With a quiet, "Okay.." I turned to face the girl. I introduced myself and she said, "Hi! Oh my God! So I called my boyfriend last night and we were talking and I told him I loved him. And he didn't say anything back. Is that bad? Did I do anything wrong? What if he hates me now? What if he breaks up with me? Oh my God! I could die!" Now, you've got to know me to understand why I (being a teenager) turned away from the boyfriend drama in the middle of the word "say". But she was persistant, she kept on, and on. And on. Finally, I decided to cut the subtlty, so I pulled out Gone With the Wind and started on it. Surprisingly, I made it through 3 chapters before she finished. Now, I know what your thinking, sittting at Regional Science Fair, waiting to be judged is a complete dream come true! Well.....I souppose it would be if you enjoy excriatingly long waits, incomprehensible homework, and blabbermouth people. Anyway, I FINALLY got judged and then waited for 3 LONG hours until I heard the announcer say the most blessed words known to man, "Students, you are released." I actually jumped up and shouted, "HALLEJUAH!" Then we had to get back on the bus and go to the mall for lunch. Taylor ate at a smoothie place and my mom took me out to Quizno's. I had a WHOLE sub AND chips, BY MYSELF. (Being scientifical really takes it outta me!) After lunch we went back to the bus and headed home. The next morning we got to wear regular clothes! When we got back up to the fair we waited for the judges to finish judging then we got to go to the mall for the whole day! First, we went to the food court for lunch. Taylor had chicken and fries and I had a chicken salad. Then, (this is me acting on a sugar-induced impulse) I decided to go to Great American Cookies and get a Mega Frosted Sugar Cookie. Oh, boy howdy! That sucker WAS worth 6.50! After my sugar coma we decided to go to Claire's. On the way there we saw a kiosk with a BULLET BELT! IT WAS SO COOL! I seriously thought about getting it, but then decided against it due to lack of moolah. Anywho, when we got to Claire's there was a WHOLE WALL of SWEET boots! So, I pulled out my phone to videotape this revalation. Apparently, videotaping is a heathen act nowadays, because the manager told us that videotaping in HER store was NOT acceptable. So to make up for it, I bought some rockin' shades. Then we went to Earthbound and tried on masks, played with crabs, and used a duck caller thingee. After 3 hours of mallness we had to go home. My purchases were, Rockin' Shades, A Mega Frosted Cookie, A Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie, and 5 mini Hand Sanitizers from Bath and Body Works. So, see kids? Being smart can pay off in the form of food, hand sanitizers, and sunglasses! :D
Thanks for reading 'bout my boring self! ;D I shall return! Soon!

Quaint-lookin' Junk

Well, my friend Shelby had her birthday day yesterday and it was, in the words of The Incredibles, "TOTALLY WICKED!" HA! They picked me up the night before and we went to Mazzio's in Broken Arrow to eat. While we were there, we saw a guy who looked like Alan from "The Hangover"! (Or Sasquatch, which ever you prefer!) Then we went home and FINALLY fell asleep around 3:45 giggling our heads off!! The next morning, after we pulled ourselves together, we started on our journey!  We drove in the car for like...I don't know...awhile until we got to our first thrifting stop, The Salvation Army. We went inside and heard one of our favorites, Rebirthing by Skillet. It seemed a little out of place in the Salvation Army so I figured I'd mention it! :D Anyway, after that (We made zip purchases.) we went to see the Center of the Universe, Tulsa OK!! :D It was SO cool! You could stand on this circle on the ground, say something, and hear an echo. If you walked out of the cicrle, there was no echo! It was VERY coolieo! :D After a few pictures and ducking from pictures, we got hungry so we decided to go to Caz's Chowhouse in downtown Tulsa. But, alas, it was closed! So we made up for it with Ricardo's. It was MUY BUENO! Then we went to the Tulsa State Fairgrounds to thrift shop a little! We walked up to the doors and saw this huge rooster sitting outside the doors! It was the best door-greeter experience I've ever had! ;) When we walked in, I was overwhelmed with all of the old stuff! It was AMAZING! We didn't even make it through 1/4 of the building before they shut down! :( But I only spent $1.00 and got 5 things! I got 4 Kodachromes and 1 Bo Diddley record for my room. But, no doubt, Shelby got the best deal. She bought a lamp that looks like a watering can, a dark wood table with flowers painted on it, an old "Half and Half" tabacco can, an old camera with the little metal circle flash thingee still on it, a old Oklahoma motorcycle license, and, my personal favorite, a 1970's Transistor radio THAT STILL WORKS! On the way out of the Fairgrounds this guy came up to Shelby's dad and asked if we wanted any Pork Rinds. We got 6 bags outta 'em! He had Ranch, Plain, and Cajun. (I had to have a bowl when we got home!) After we were drug out of the Fairgrounds we listened to the Glen Beck show on Shelby's new/old radio all the way to CherryBerry. This was my first time there so I had no clue what to expect but it was S-W-E-E-T! They had all of these little tiny red seats, and the MOST EXTENSIVE set of frozen yogurt I have ever seen in my life! It was SO yummy! I had, let me think here, a Chocolate Mousse, Cheesecake, Strawberry Sensation, Cookies and Cream, Sprinkles, Cookie Bits, Gummy Worms, Dots of Strawberry Goodness, Brownie Bits, and Yogurt Chips mixture. It was the best 'cream I've had EVER. PERIOD. ;D Anyway, we rocked to the Oldies all the way home. When we got back to good 'ol Wag-o-ner I helped Shelborooskie (That nickname is one of my personal favorites!) arrange her new stuff. I gotta say, it looked pretty sweet! Well...thats all I have for now, but don't worry, I'll be back with new adventures! My life isn't THAT boring....Well...to tell ya the truth, sometimes I worry...;D

My First Blizzard

Alright, so the night before last it REALLY came down! I mean.....REALLY! We got freezing rain, sleet, hail, snow, anything you can think of, WE GOT IT! So I, of course, stayed inside because, like a few other people I know and love, I would like to keep my fingers and toes ATTACHED to my body, not amputated from cold. But today, I took a leap of faith and went to Wallie World with my mom. Believe it or not....PEOPLE WERE OUT IN THIS COLDNESS! Not just a few here and there, OH NO, I mean Wal-Mart was P-A-C-K-E-D! But, I did see a HUGE mountain of snow in the parking lot...so, of course, I climbed it and took a picture. But now I shall enjoy my clementine and hot chocolate in peace.....
